Before you can start selling on KDP, you need to have a well-prepared eBook. Here are the key steps to follow:

Step 2: Create an Amazon KDP Account
To begin selling your eBooks on Amazon, you'll need to set up an account on Kindle Direct Publishing. Follow these steps:
- Visit the KDP website: Go to kdp.amazon.com and click on "Sign up."
- Sign in with your Amazon account: If you already have an Amazon account, sign in with your credentials. If not, create a new account by following the on-screen instructions.
- Complete your tax information: Provide your tax details for royalty payments. If you're unsure, consult a tax professional for guidance.
Step 3: Add a New eBook Title
Once you have your KDP account set up, it's time to add your eBook to the platform:
- Sign in to your KDP account.
- Click on "Create a Kindle eBook."
- Enter the eBook details: Fill in the required information, such as title, author, description, and categories. Add your book cover and select appropriate keywords to help potential readers find your eBook.
- Upload your eBook file: Choose the eBook file you prepared earlier and upload it to KDP. Preview your eBook using the built-in previewer to ensure everything appears as intended.
- Set pricing and royalty options: Decide on the price for your eBook and select the royalty option (either 35% or 70% depending on certain criteria). Note that royalty rates differ across different regions.
- Confirm and publish: Review all the details you entered, make any necessary changes, and then click on "Publish Your Kindle eBook."
