Step 2: Create an Amazon KDP Account

  2. Sign in with your Amazon account: If you already have an Amazon account, sign in with your credentials. If not, create a new account by following the on-screen instructions.
  3. Complete your tax information: Provide your tax details for royalty payments. If you're unsure, consult a tax professional for guidance.

Step 3: Add a New eBook Title

Once you have your KDP account set up, it's time to add your eBook to the platform:

  1. Sign in to your KDP account.
  2. Click on "Create a Kindle eBook."
  3. Enter the eBook details: Fill in the required information, such as title, author, description, and categories. Add your book cover and select appropriate keywords to help potential readers find your eBook.
  4. Upload your eBook file: Choose the eBook file you prepared earlier and upload it to KDP. Preview your eBook using the built-in previewer to ensure everything appears as intended.
  5. Set pricing and royalty options: Decide on the price for your eBook and select the royalty option (either 35% or 70% depending on certain criteria). Note that royalty rates differ across different regions.
  6. Confirm and publish: Review all the details you entered, make any necessary changes, and then click on "Publish Your Kindle eBook."
